Today
started off a little sad. My dear hubby is in Boston for some Army
training. It was a rough sleep without him last night. Even though I am no stranger to him leaving, it’s never easy when he needs to go. So I made my way out to the kitchen, made a plate of grapes, peaches, and a Beef Brat! I went and sat down on the sofa and felt a little sad that Papa was not here with me. So, while I was sitting there moping a bit, something amazing and phenomenal happened …… I felt the baby! The only way I can describe it and tell you about is to go into a little bit of detail. Take the location of your belly button and go down to the top of your underwear line is. Then go 3 fingers with to the right, and that is where I felt it! It was a flutter. It felt like somebody had taken their finger and did fast, but gentle, tapping on my belly down there. Now some say “there’s no way you can feel the baby being only 8 weeks a long”, and in most cases they would be right. However, I am not a “most case” kind of person. A while back I went to the Cardiologist to see him about some annoying heart palpitations. Well after much testing and doctor’s visits he discovered that I am fine and that what I am feeling is something called PVC’s. It is actually something that everybody goes through, but only a small percentage of people actually feel. So with the diagnoses of the PVC’s sensitivity, he also said I have a hyper-sensitivity to my body in general. For instance, when they draw blood from my arm, I can actually feel the suction feeling as they draw the blood from you.

So, with all that said, this is why, for me, it’s
not a strange concept when I say I can feel the baby this early. I also could
tell you I was pregnant when I was only two weeks along!!!!! So, be it strange or not, I’m happy with who I
am! LOL it’s also good because I can tell when something is wrong with me.
But anyway, we are 8 weeks today! If you’ve
never seen , or haven’t seen in a while , or are just willing to indulge me for
a second I added a picture of what my little love looks like at this moment!
I get so happy at the thought of the baby growing!
Every day it makes it more real to me. At times, since the
baby is like the size of a cough drop, you don’t really feel
pregnant. It’s been a comfort and an encouragement to be
keeping track of the baby’s growth on a “Baby Tracker”. And it helps when you feel the baby too! ;0) I can’t not wait to have an ultrasound sometime in the next 3 weeks. I’m sure I would have one sooner than that but I would like to wait for my husband to get back from his training so he can be with me for our first visual!

I have
a doctor appointment on the 5th (Monday) to get the feel of this new
doctor and see what the next steps in our prenatal care is.
So, my friends, I will keep updating and keep
sharing our good news as soon as it happens!
To all of you , be Blessed!
