We have been doing a lot of Birth Planning today. From the
next 8 months of maternity clear up to Baby Showers and Labor. My husband is a very private person. And this
is as much is baby as it is mine. So we have talked a good deal about what each
one of us would like before and after birth. We have decided, to some extent,
some of the massive details that will take place. Such as when the baby is six
to twelve weeks old, I would have a Family Welcoming Party, where our new
family would be reintroduced to our friends. A party with good food, a pictures,
time for blessings, an acknowledgement that from here on out, things are
different, and that we are asking you, the guests, to join us.
Now that is just
one idea in a sea of ideas we had discussed. My specific concern is illnesses.
I do not want to expose a newborn to massive amounts of people where massive
amounts of germs can plague a very young immune system. That being said, I
would also LOVE to show off my new little treasure! After all, I will be a brand spanking new
Momma!
But that is just
a few of the things we’ve been working on! Plus I’ve been looking up tutorials
on how to make your own Maternity clothes! So EXCITED about that!
Sometimes, I think I know why there is such
fun in having 3 or 4 kids. It’s not just for the sheer joy of having so many. Or
the blessing of being able to be a mother 4 times over. But I also think of all
the things you didn’t get to do with the first one … or two… or three… There is
so much out there for birthing women and mothers in general its crazy! From birthing
methods to Amber Teething Necklaces ( which I’m
so getting). And then there are so many more pleasures and joys you discover as
time progresses. So many new ideals and values that you choose to take on .
With all that said,
I am so excited to begin the challenge of finding my “Maternal Niche” . I’ll
find a groove that works with my tune and run with it! There are so many
endless possibilities of where we could go and where we’ll end up. And, that alone,
gives me the passion and drive … and a little feminine will power, to be the most
humble, yet spirited Momma I can be!
:-) So exciting! And love your blog
