Mermaids

I wrote this children's story to go along with some mermaids dolls I have made. Tell me what you think !

Far out in the ocean, where the water is beautiful Sea Foam green,
and as clear as glass , it is very , VERY deep. So deep that no Human could go
all the way down . Deep down there lived a beautiful mermaid named Princess
Kai-Kai.

Princess Kai-Kai lived in a sand castle at the bottom of the sea . She lived there with her
Daddy , the Sea King, her mommy , the Sea Queen ,and her big brother the
Sea Prince.

Princess Kai-Kai had a beautiful sea flower garden . It was filled with flowers
that sparkled like glitter. She took really good care of her flowers so they would
grow big and tall.

One day Princess Kai-Kai saw one of her flowers was sick . She was so sad.
She looked all around her flower to see why it was sick . She lifted up one of the
plant leaves and found human garbage . The garbage was hurting her plant.

So Princess Kai-Kai decided to go up to the surface and see where the trash was coming from.
When she got to the top she saw a big boat with lots of people on it . One man was throwing
trash over the side. This is what was making Princess Kai-Kai's plants so sick.

Princess Kai-Kai swam over to the boat and called out to the sailor. She said " Excuse me
Mr. , every time you throw your trash into the sea in falls to the bottom of the ocean
and it hurts my plants".

The sailor couldn't believe his eyes . There was a real mermaid. He thought about what she said
for a second then he answered her, " So when I throw my trash into the sea , it hurts the sea and
all the life in the sea"?

Princess Kai-Kai told the sailor that every time people put trash into the sea it makes the sea sick .
If people keep putting trash in the sea , the sea would not be pretty anymore.

The sailor felt so bad for putting his trash in the sea that he promised Princess Kai-Kai
that he would never do that again. And he would tell all his friends to never throw trash into
the ocean again.

Princess Kai-Kai went back down to her Sand Castle and took good care of her plants. We all
can help Princess Kai-Kai by putting all our trash in a trash can. Keeping our sea clean
will help keep our sea beautiful for all life. For me and for you!
