Yesterday I began the fun task of
spring cleaning. My brother was coming to visit from Colorado.
I was so excited to see him that I truly didn’t care how much I had to clean! So anyway, I cleaned really well, prepared a menu, ran to the store and did all this prep so I could spoil my little brother. Who, may I mention, is taller than me and not so little anymore. So , as soon as the little munchkin came in the door I got a huge hug, a handful of food items from my mother, and off he went. Next thing I knew I was serving food to two Men playing their video games! Now…. I can’t say it’s all a bad thing; I like Modern Warfare 3 as much as the next Gal, but ….. Well you get the idea. :0) But it has been a glorious visit. It’s beautiful to hear the lovely sound of bombs and gunfire harmonizing with my Christmas music, the boys laughing and screaming out in agonizing frustration when they miss their targets, and the occasional smile at me while I’m begged to bring over the Chocolate – Chip cookie plate. Nothing beats being a wife, but there is just something about being a wife and a big sister in the same moment. I love my fella’s. Happy Holidays Little Brother! I love you !
