DIY Pot Holders!!!

Ok This is the first step # 1) Choose your material , cut it to the length you want and trim the excess. ( I did mine as a 10 x 10 inch square. Be sure to leave a 1/2 inch seem allowance)
This is setp # 2) Get some batting from your craft store .Cut 1 or 2 squares ( depending on how thick you want it to be ) to the same size as your material squares. I had these 2 crap squares so I used those.
( this is an example if you had a new roll that wasn't measured)
Step #3) Trim any excess ! LOL I told you this was easy!
Step #4) Pin the white ( batting) sides to the Colored (fabric ) sides. Then sew batting square and a          material square together. Making sure to go all the way around the square
.
Then ,Step #5)  On the "right sides " of material (that would be the colored side) sew 3 sides together . Make it look like the pic above. Now at this step you can make it look however you like. if you want to leave this pocet open and use it as a glove that fine. Although I would suggest you make the batting thicker . Or make the pot holder big enough to overlap .
Ok step #6 is a no brainer .... flip that puppy right-side out.
Step #7) Now if you want to be fancy here ( like i did ) you can sew diagonal lines. Be sure to leave a   1/2 inch seem allowance at the open end for sewing it shut.
And then Presto .... after you sew the end shut ( turn the open end inward and sew by hand ) you have a POT HOLDER!!!! LOL I figured I would start with someting easy and then move onto something a bit larger. (ha ha ha)-----> "Sew" next time i'll have a DIY "Tie Me Up " Blanket!!! So... Stay tuned!!!
